Welcome to the web-site for the Ulverston International Music Festival.

2010 promises to be a very exciting year. We are in the process of putting together the finishing touches to the 2010 Festival programme which aims to surpass the “best ever” 2009 Festival.

Programme highlights will include; cellist Natalie Clein, pianist Martin Roscoe, award-winning composer Shiva Feshareki, the return of our Family Concert with Alasdair Malloy and master classes with pianist Murray McLaughlin.

In 2010 we aim to further extend our sphere of influence by performing in another new venue in Ulverston in addition to those used previously. Again we are increasingly involving the local community to give them a sense of “ownership” of the Festival through participation in our Family and Choral concerts. Following on from commissioning our first work last year, we are also premičring two new works from a ground-breaking former BBC Proms prize-winning composer.

Details of much of the programme are available to view on the "2010 Festival" page and tickets will go on sale early in the year. Please click on the tab to join our mailing list and be the first to hear when the box office opens.

Before the Festival we have the last in the series of Broughton Concerts; the Odyssey Trio will perform on Thursday 18th February in the Victory Hall, Broughton. Details can be found on the "Other Events" page by clicking on the “Broughton Concerts” tab.

You can also listen to our tracks through this site.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to the Broughton Concert in February and the 2010 Festival between Friday 4th and Saturday 12th June.
