Andrew Jarvis

andrew-jarvisAndrew Jarvis was born and educated in Oxfordshire. He lived in Chinnor before moving to Glasgow to study at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where he achieved his Bachelor of Music (Performance Honours), Masters in Opera and Advanced Masters in Opera. He has sung nationally and internationally, most recently at the Royal Opera House, and with English National Opera as well as at Garsington Opera, and at the Buxton Gilbert and Sullivan Festival.

More recently after returning from a tour of duty in Iraq as a soldier in the Territorial Army, he sang alongside Bryn Terfel and Katherine Jenkins at the televised Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance in the Royal Albert Hall. He now combines his singing work with being Director of Music at Fitzharrys School in Abingdon. A very versatile performer, renowned for being an all-round entertainer, he frequently presents informal concerts to raise money for local charities in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
