Anna Gorbachyova
She has won numerous awards including the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the First International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera Pietro Antonio Cesti in Innsbruck, Austria (August, 2010); the First Prize at the 42nd International Antonín Dvořák Vocal Competition in Czech Republic (November, 2007). Anna performed music by Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky at the 9th International Chamber Music Festival in Nuremberg in September 2010 as well as arias by Rameau at the Russian - French Festival "Four Centuries of French Music" conducted by Christophe Rousset in Kremlin, Moscow in October 2010. In May 2011 she performed "Stabat Mater" by Boccherini for soprano solo in Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona. Anna's operatic experience includes the role of Musetta in Puccini's "La Bohème" in the Hungarian State Opera in December 2010, the role of Zhou in the world premiere of "Kommilitonen!" ("The Young Blood!") by P.M. Davies at the Royal Academy Opera in March 2011, the title role in "La Calisto" by Cavalli at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music in August 2011, the role of Nymphe in the world premiere of the opera "Gogol" by L. Auerbach in Theatre an der Wien in November 2011. Anna also performed soprano-solo in numerous oratorios such as "Ein Deutches Requiem" by Brahms, cantatas by Bach, Mass "Maria Theresa" by Haydn, "Petite Messe Solennelle" by Rossini, "A Sea Symphony" by Vaughan Williams etc. |
Anna Gorbachyova, soprano, was born in the Siberian town Shushenskoye in 1985. From September 2010 Anna is studying at the Royal Academy Opera in London where she was generously awarded a scholarship; her singing teachers are Lillian Watson and Audrey Hyland.
