THANK YOU!

The 2026 Festival has been and gone, but we know that the music left a lasting impression with you, our audience.

With eighteen events in Ulverston, Bardsea, Dalton-in-Furness, Cartmel, Brantwood & Levens Hall, blending music, food and history, the 22^nd Festival was another huge success.

We were blessed with some of Britain’s finest musicians coming to perform, including Jennifer Pike, Martin Roscoe and a Festival debut from Steven Osborne.

Audiences raved about the music and dance from Daniel Martinez Flemenco Company, and we basked in the pure joy of the sensational young duo of Eleanor & Gus.

Our first ever film and music night was unforgettable: a UK premiere screening of Nosfaratu: A Symphony of Horror with accompanying score written and performed by Yuval Gotlibovich with Thomas Carroll on cello. It won’t be the last.

Our Festival finale saw the return of Royal Northern Sinfonia and a superb performance of Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto from Anthony Hewitt.

Judging by the response from the audience during and after, the 22^nd Festival will live long in the mind.

It was a wonderful night, in a great setting and it was extremely well organised.

More Flamenco please!

Thank you again for a really uplifting week. The combination of the music and the wonderful countryside of the Furness Peninsula meant we came away refreshed and inspired. It was great to see all you musicians showing off your skill and obviously enjoying playing and just being with one another. It was a real privilege to hear you all. Thank you.

I found the youthful enthusiasm of Eleanor and Gus really refreshing. They are two stunning musicians and Eleanor sings like an angel!

Bass Trip was fantastic. Both violinists were superb, but I thought the connection between Zoran Markovic and Mi-Sa Yang was particularly intense. She puts her whole body and soul into the playing doesn’t she? When Zoran started to sing (I can’t remember which piece it was) I was almost moved to tears and felt like someone had reached right into my soul.

The 23^rd edition will return, slightly later than usual, from Friday 18 June to 27 June 2027.

Events for Autumn/Winter 26/27 season will be announced soon.
