We are delighted to announce a thrilling new season of piano recitals showcasing some of most exciting piano talent on the UK scene.

A SENSATIONAL SERIES OF PIANO MUSIC THAT REFLECTS THE
CHANGING MOODS OF NATURE.

We’ve curated an enthralling new programme of piano recitals to warm and entertain you throughout the winter months. ‘Lunchtimes at Levens‘ continues our recent tradition of presenting prestigious artists at the historic and intimate setting of Levens Hall beginning in November with acclaimed pianist Katya Apekisheva. Our annual Christmas Concert at Ulverston Parish Church this year features the young virtuoso ‘Wunderkind’ Tyler Hay in a programme of Chopin and some Christmas favourites. Leeds Piano Competition laureate Ariel Lanyi completes the series at Levens Hall with a programme to include Beethoven’s epic Diabelli Variations.

A Journey Through Time and Sound:
Pianist Katya Apekisheva elegantly intertwines one of Tchaikovsky’s most charming compositions with Elena Langer’s companion piece, Seasons. Inspired by the evocative poetry of Philip Larkin, Langer’s work offers a contemporary dialogue with Tchaikovsky’s beloved cycle.

It was a wonderful night, in a great setting and it was extremely well organised.

More Flamenco please!

Thank you again for a really uplifting week. The combination of the music and the wonderful countryside of the Furness Peninsula meant we came away refreshed and inspired. It was great to see all you musicians showing off your skill and obviously enjoying playing and just being with one another. It was a real privilege to hear you all. Thank you.

I found the youthful enthusiasm of Eleanor and Gus really refreshing. They are two stunning musicians and Eleanor sings like an angel!

Bass Trip was fantastic. Both violinists were superb, but I thought the connection between Zoran Markovic and Mi-Sa Yang was particularly intense. She puts her whole body and soul into the playing doesn’t she? When Zoran started to sing (I can’t remember which piece it was) I was almost moved to tears and felt like someone had reached right into my soul.

The 23^rd edition of the Ulverston International Music Festival will return slightly later than usual, from Friday 18 June to 27 June 2027.
